Construction & Engineering Copilot Training | PivotingToAI

Microsoft Copilot training for Construction

Site-ready training to clear snagging lists, automate RAMS, and manage NEC4 notices. Delivered by trainers who have worn the lanyard.

We Speak "Site"

We know the difference between JCT and NEC4. We know that "Part L" isn't just a suggestion anymore.

We understand that a delay on site costs real money, and that nobody has time to sit in a classroom for 8 hours.

We don't teach "tech." We teach how to use Copilot to get the paperwork done so you can get back out on site.

Specific Construction Upgrades

This version of the course adds three specific agents built to handle the heavy compliance and contractual load of UK construction.

The NEC4 Notice Drafter
Drafts "Early Warning" notices and Compensation Events instantly using the correct contractual language to avoid time-barring or disputes.
The RAMS Generator
Takes a bulleted list of site hazards and generates a structured, formatted Risk Assessment Method Statement ready for the Safety Officer.
Part L Compliance Checker
Checks material specifications against the latest Building Regs (Part L - Conservation of Fuel and Power) to flag non-compliant insulation or glazing.

Safety: The "Commercial" Line

We teach a strict Red / Amber / Green protocol aligned with Commercial Sensitivity and Site Safety rules.

  • RED DATA Tender Pricing & Load Calcs. Never trust AI with margins or structural math.
  • AMBER DATA Draft RAMS, site meeting minutes, snags. Safe to process (but check output).
  • GREEN DATA Public planning specs, Part L regs, generic method statements. Safe everywhere.

What happens on the day?

This is a specialized version of our Core Copilot Essentials course. It uses site scenarios (delays, material shortages, subcontractor disputes) instead of office examples.

Morning: Risk & Hallucination

09:30 - 12:30
We cover the risks: AI hallucinating regulations or inventing safety standards. We teach "Human in the Loop" protocols—the Site Manager always signs off.

Afternoon: The Build (Site Specific)

13:15 - 16:30
We build the specific agents listed above. PMs and QSs leave with working templates for notices, purchasing comparisons, and logs.

The Building Safety Act

The "Golden Thread" of information requires accurate, digital records. Copilot helps Site Managers turn rough notes into the formal digital records required by the regulator.

NEC4: The Cost of Admin

Under NEC4, failing to notify an Early Warning can mean losing money. Copilot removes the friction of drafting these notices, protecting your commercial position.

The Skills Shortage

With a shortage of QSs and Estimators, AI tools allow junior staff to handle the "grunt work" of document comparison, allowing seniors to focus on high-value negotiation.
